MOSS ROLLS ON IN BRISBANE
29 March 2010 |
MOSSMAN sired his ninth individual 2YO winner for the season when promising gelding Buffering stepped out in style at Doomben on the weekend.
The Robert Heathcote debutante showed his rivals a clean pair of heels leading throughout to win the Russell Daniels Handicap (1110m) by 3/4 of a length.`
`Buffering is a handy horse and he's won a trial but you can never underestimate how hard it is for a juvenile to win on debut,'' Heathcote told the Courier Mail prior to the race.
``You see time and again good horses get beaten on debut and then come out and win by a big margin next time out.
``The form out of the Cavaliered race has been OK and there's no doubt he's a better horse this time around.
``He's only a little fellow but he has ability.''
Buffering's win was the second inside of the week for Mossman after first starter Mr Mafia's impressive win at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.
