ONEMORENOMORE

Onemorenomore is an AJC Champagne Stakes (G1) winner by the stellar sire, Red Ransom, from a stallion producing family. From a pedigree perspective he has all the ingredients required for a leading sire

Onemorenomore has only one cross of Northern Dancer, which will be in the fifth generation of his foals. He is by a stallion that has crossed well extremely with Northern Dancer line mares, and is out of a mare who is a sister to the dam of Danehill line grade one winner Casino Prince. Red Ransom has grade one winners out of mares by Danzig sons Danehill and Polish Precedent, and Casino Prince is by Flying Spur (by Danehill). Almost any son of Danehill should be good, but we can mention Redoute’s Choice as particularly interesting as he is from the same family as Try My Best (grandsire of the dam of Onemorenomore). The Green Desert branch of Danzig should be very good here also, giving inbreeding to Never Bend. Sources of Green Desert include Cape Cross, Desert Sun and Volksraad.

Red Ransom has stakes winners out of mares descending from Nijinsky II through Royal Academy Strawberry Road (by Whiskey Road). Red Ransom sons have three stakes winners out of mares by Caerleon (who could be brought in through Generous and Bletchley Park) and a graded stakes winner out of a mare by Kala Dancer (by Niniski). Red Ransom and his sons have sired three stakes winners out of mares by The Minstrel and we like mares by Masterclass (from the same male and female line as Try My Best, the grandsire of the dam of Onemorenomore) here. There are six stakes winners by Red Ransom out of mares by Storm Bird, four graded, and one grade one. Storm Bird could be brought in through the Storm Cat branch with Tale of the Cat, being particularly attractive, and through Bluebird (sire of Dolphin Street – who gives the genetic relatives Mill Reef and Riverman – and Lake Coniston).

Crossing Onemorenomore over mares by Sadler’s Wells should do well, giving the successful pattern of line breeding to Lalun. Sadler’s Wells sources including Scenic (sire of Blevic), Barathea, Galileo, Montjeu, Carnegie and Singspiel. There are also two stakes winners by Red Ransom out of mares by Sadler’s Wells’ brother, Fairy King (sire of Helissio and Encosta De Lago). There is also graded stakes winner by Red Ransom out of Spinning World, a son of Sadler’s Wells’ three-parts-brother, Nureyev, who also brings in Riverman, a genetic relative to Mill Reef so we do like mares by Spinning World for Onemorenomore.

Roberto, the sire of Red Ransom, is out of a mare bred on very similar lines to the dam of Mr. Prospector, and Roberto and Mr. Prospector combine well. Out of mares by stallions for the Mr. Prospector line Red Ransom has a Champion out of a mare by Crafty Prospector, as well as stakes winners out of mares by Gone West (and his son Zafonic), Machiavellian (sire of Vettori and Street Cry), Woodman, Bellotto and Mr. Prospector himself. Most other branches of Mr. Prospector should work under Onemorenomore, but particularly interesting are Xaar and Umatilla, both from the family of Try My Best, the grandsire of the dam of Onemorenomore.

There are three stakes winners bred on a Red Ransom/Bletchingly cross, including grade one winner Charge Forward. Sources of Bletchingly include Canny Lad, Star Watch (sire of Hurricane Sky, who doubles the family of Try My Best), Best Western, Cossack Warrior (sire of Brave Warrior, and grandsire of Show a Heart), Kenny’s Best Pal and Lord Ballina (sire of Bureaucracy).

Red Ransom has a well above opportunity strike rate with Sir Tristram mares, and has two stakes winners on the cross, including the graded stakes winner Halibery. Sir Tristram sons include Zabeel (sire of Octagonal and grandsire of Lonhro whose daughters appeal immensely), Sovereign Red, Dr. Grace, Military Plume, Marauding, Grosvenor and Kaapstad.

There are five stakes winners by Red Ransom and sons out Blushing Groom line mares, including Champion Electrocutionist out of a mare by Arazi. Sources of Blushing Groom include Noverre (three-parts-brother to Arazi), Fantastic Light, Nassipour, Rainbow Quest (sire of Quest For Fame and Spectrum) and Orientate. Red Ransom has an above opportunity strike rate with Prince John line mares including grade one winner Duporth out of a mare by Success Express so mares by this stallion and his son Mossman appeal. Mill Reef the broodmare sire of Last Tycoon should work well, with possible sources including Manntari and Marooned, while Mill Reef’s genetic relative, Riverman, should work well here, and he would be available through Brief Truce or Rivotious.
