BUYERS in the UK and now Europe have more than matched the demand for Myboycharlie’s as his first N.H crop of yearlings go to sale.

Hot on the heels of the Vinery Stud resident’s booming October Yearling Sale at Newmarket in England, interest in Myboycharlie youngsters has remained incredibly strong at the Arqana Deauville Yearling Sale in France.

Myboycharlie was represented by five yearlings on Day One, all of which were subject to spirited bidding and competition, selling for an average price of 52,400 euros (A$66,277) and a median figure of 57,000 euros or approx $72,095.

This represents an average over 9 times Myboycharlie’s first year service fee in Europe.

“The common scenario between what happened here in Australia and in the northern hemisphere is that the Myboycharlie yearlings have almost a perfect clearance rate and they are averaging many, many times his service fee,” says Vinery’s Adam White, ”his first sale he averaged about eight and half times service fee at the Magic Millions Jan (10 offered, 10 sold) and it’s been a consistent result with nine times service fee recorded at Deauville where five were offered and all sold

“On top of that his Australian bred horses have managed to find their way into some of the absolute top stables including Gai Waterhouse, Peter Moody, Gerald Ryan and we’ve already seen a few trial winners by him on both sides of the Tasman.”
